聚焦核心素養,打造高效課堂——初中高端英語項目外教研究課記實

為了全面提高組內教師教學水平,提升課堂教學質量,促進外籍教師之間相互學習和交流,12月以來,初中高端英語項目外教全員開展了研究課活動。

近期,高端英語項目初三年級兩位英語外教Miss. Emily,Miss Kirsten進行了雅思寫作、雅思口語的公開課展示,兩位經驗豐富的外籍教師給大家呈現了生動活潑,非常具有學術性和示范性的雅思教學。我校副校長于苒、初中教導處副主任張麗君及英語組內中外教共同觀摩聽課、評課。

Miss Emily本節雅思寫作設計了環環相扣的教學活動,首先通過熱身活動使學生明確本節主題。有效的單詞學習熱身為本節的輸出活動做了鋪墊。在第一個Introduction環節教師通過幾幅圖表讓學生明白雅思寫作中的圖表形式。在第二個Overview環節教師設計了多樣的教學活動和小組合作學習任務啟發學生在用中學,學生先是明確了Paraphrasing的含義及方式。隨后進行了多個任務的Paraphrase運用,在實際的操練中鞏固操練。在第三個Body Paragraphs環節中,啟發學生思考一個和多個互相關聯的圖表。引導學生對這些信息或數據進行描述。在整個教學過程中Miss Emily注重板書的生成,全程關注學生的討論活動并給予指導,使學生有效地找到信息中關鍵的內容并對之進行描述,注重連貫性和結構層次。學生能否將信息和要點進行組織,信息和要點之間的聯系是否清晰,使用的詞匯是否廣泛、準確、且適合這一部分寫作成為了這節寫作課的主旋律。

Emily 公開課反思

Reflection on Open Class

        This year, I chose to do an open class on IELTS Writing, with a focus on the analysis of graphs. To be honest, after finishing this class, I think there is a lot of room for improvement. However, I believe I was able to achieve my objectives, which were that the students could review paraphrasing and become familiar with analyzing graphs and diagrams.

        In the process of planning the lesson, I was given some helpful suggestions, such as simplifying the lesson by taking out unnecessary parts. I tried to implement these suggestions, but, after the lesson, I found that I still needed to simplify more. Consequently, for this lesson, one thing I can improve on is lessening the amount of material and going more in depth. I also hope to improve on my pacing of the lesson. Because we spent more time reviewing earlier on in the lesson, there was less time for presentation at the end. For future lessons, I will try to find a better balance.

        Overall, the students were able to achieve the objectives in the lesson. They are better able to write introductions using paraphrasing and analyze graphs/diagrams. They are also much quicker at finding the key features of the graphs, which is one aspect they particularly needed to work on. Although they achieved the objectives, I felt that the students were quieter than usual, which is another possible area of improvement; I hope to encourage the students to be more vocal next time.

        Overall, I believe it was a good lesson, because the students were able to accomplish much. They are much more familiar with the different kinds of graphs they will encounter on the IELTS test, and they have a firmer foundation in how to structure the answer and which key features to talk about. Still, there is definitely more room for improvement in my lesson. I look forward to teaching more IELTS classes and trying to improve my planning and implementation.

Miss Kirsten的雅思口語課,首先,教師用學生們非常熟悉的attendance questions開始和學生們進行互動。這堂課的主要教學目標是讓學生們描述自己的一次旅行。教師首先鋪墊了詞匯,讓學生在游戲中理解單詞的含義和用法。接著,學生完成課本上的連線,并運用詞匯描述圖中的景點。接下來,教師啟發學生分析談論假期活動的要素where、how、who、what. 隨后,外教以自己的親身經歷為例,給學生示范并引導學生如何一步步講述旅行經歷。此外,外教還強調了時態,對應的時間詞和連接詞等細節。 然后,學生進行小組合作活動,分別轉述教師的經歷,進一步內化本節課的重點內容。最后,引導學生分享自己的一段經歷。整堂課任務有層級,環環相扣,既調動了學生的學習興趣也培養了學生的邏輯思維能力。

Kirsten 公開課反思

Reflection on Open Class


With the support and careful preparation from my coworkers Cora and Lily, I was able to confidently deliver my first open class. There were a few unexpected bumps along the way. However, I was able to execute the lesson well because of the technical requirements set by my coworkers.

The topic of my open class was an IELTS speaking class about ‘travel’. Planning this particular class was no easy task because anyone familiar with IELTS will know that it is quite academic. Students need to build vocabulary and then be able to use this vocabulary in a topic that they will have to speak about for at least two minutes. The challenge was knowing how to include all the lesson objectives into a 40-minute lesson.

Nevertheless, Cora and Lily helped me design a lesson plan that included all the necessary elements enabling me to successfully conduct a lesson wherein I was able to achieve most of my lesson objectives. As well as letting my coworkers in on a typical IELTS speaking class.

Students were attentive and participated well. They were able to demonstrate new and existing knowledge of the topic. In addition, students were able to use the vocabulary, including adjectives, nouns, and phrases to plan a talk, which is a requirement of the IELTS speaking part 2 and 3 test.

The areas I think could be improved, would be to integrate more visuals, video, and audio into my lesson.

In conclusion, I thoroughly enjoyed my open class. I hope my coworkers benefited from the lesson.


在這兩節公開課中,教師通過啟發、例舉、提問或反問等引導并激發學生思維,自然互動,有效促進了學生積極參與課堂。學生們用英語自信地表達,增強了英語學習的自信心,提升了英語學習的內驅力。

課后,中外教共同參與公開課的評課與交流,表達對本堂課的聽后感受,有共鳴、也有思維的碰撞。此次公開課交流提升了教師專業素養和教學基本功,促進了全體教師專業自我發展。本次活動全程錄像,資料組內共享,作為后續學習提高的資源。
